Sandy Castle is a spacious, two-story, oceanfront residence located just south of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk Resort District in beautiful Sandbridge Beach. Breathe in the salty air as you marvel at panoramic ocean views, which are further enhanced by the additional custom windows added in recent years.
Vaulted ceilings throughout most of the home give it an open, airy atmosphere. It's the perfect place for extended families, with 10 beautifully decorated bedrooms that accommodate up to 22 guests. Among these are an oceanside, second-floor primary suite that's both spacious and intimate, with a private balcony overlooking the Atlantic and a primary bath suite.
Over 3,000 square feet of natural red-oak hardwood flooring add a tasteful, elegant touch. Beautiful American yellow-pine wainscoting in the living areas give the entire home a warm glow. The newly remodeled kitchen boasts blue-pearl granite countertops and backsplash and a custom-made, L-shaped bar/island with 10 barstools - a lovely spot for morning coffee at sunrise or a beach cocktail at sunset. We've also added two large, side-by-side refrigerators and enough custom cabinetry, pantries, and kitchenware to accommodate both novice and seasoned chefs. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining area, highlighted by a custom-built granite dining table that seats 12 with an ocean view that's fit for a five-star restaurant.
True to its name, the great room provides a million-dollar view of the Atlantic, where you'll find the sand stretches for miles. Relax on one of four, buttery-soft leather sofas and enjoy the 65-inch Samsung Smart 4K TV and DVD player for your viewing pleasure. Or, set up a game of billiards or foosball. With a microwave and a minifridge, you'll be tempted not to leave, but we recommend venturing out to the private pool or onto one of the decks to watch the dolphins put on a show. Head downstairs to the shade deck on the dune level, where you can catch up on conversation, read, or just admire the beauty of the sun, surf, and sand. Speaking of sand, when you're ready to head out to catch some waves or rays, there's a hot/cold shower that leads directly to the beach.
