The owners live in the upstairs unit. With that in mind as well as the quiet residential character of the neighborhood, this is NOT a party house.
The guest suite features a private entrance which means you won't have access to the upstairs unit, nor will they have the ability to access yours.
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood of Croatan is right on the beach, but it is set apart from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk and it doesn’t have the thru traffic of the North End. The entrance is hidden away just south of Rudee Inlet where it opens up into a wonderful neighborhood of three story single family homes within a couple blocks of the beach. The municipal parking lot at the south end of the neighborhood has showers and bathrooms, but public parking is tight in the rest of the neighborhood. As a result, there aren’t many tourists and that makes the beach here a delight.
Other Things to Note:
The highlight of this residential neighborhood is definitely the beach. Whether you want to catch a wave or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll, Croatan Beach certainly won't disappoint.
Due to very limited public parking, this beach is a lot less crowded than the touristy Resort Beach while offering you a great place to swim, surf, and work on your tan. Because of the property's great location, it only takes 1 min to get to the nearest beach access.
If you want to explore Virginia Beach's restaurant & bar scene or immerse yourself in the hustle & bustle, the Resort District is only a short 3 min drive away.
